Medical Workers Scholarship Fund (MWSF) has established a partnership with First Responders Children's Fund

Each organization complements the other perfectly. Both organizations work to help families and children affected by the loss of courageous and heroic loved ones.

MWSF supports children's mental health in the form of Bluebird Awards.  Healthcare worker's children lost to Covid-19 in addition to first responders, are eligible to Apply.

"Health care worker means a person other than a health care professional who provides medical, dental, or other health-related care or treatment under the direction of a health care professional with the authority to direct that individual's activities, including medical technicians, medical assistants, dental assistants, orderlies, aides, and individuals acting in similar capacities."

MWSF includes health care professionals in its eligibility criteria as well as police and firefighters.

First Responders Children’s Foundation provides financial support to children who have lost a parent in the line of duty as well as families enduring significant financial hardship due to tragic circumstances.

"Who are considered first responders?

"A first responder is a real-life superhero. They're someone whose job is to respond immediately ( first) when there is an accident or emergency. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), paramedics, firefighters, and police officers are all considered first responders."
